...The abolished, forgotten Zaporozhye Sich has irrevocably sunk into the past. But the Cossack spirit did not die on the southern borders of Russia. And in 1787, the former Cossack Sidor Bily again gathered free Cossack teams - between the Bug and the Dniester, at the borders of the Novorossiysk province. Five years later, the Cossacks had to move to Kuban, where the Black Sea Cossack Army was born. And in the 19th century, the legendary Cossack historians Ivan Diomidovich Popko and Prokopiy Petrovich Korolenko became its chroniclers. It was their works, which have long become a bibliographic rarity, that made up this book - an invaluable gift to devotees of the history of the Fatherland.
