Michael Marrack was born in Weikershamm in 1965, and after graduating in wholesale trade, he attended the College of Applied Graphics in Stuttgart from 1988 to 1991. In 1998–1999 he co-edited the Maldoror series and the two-volume fantasy anthology Der agnostische Saal.
