The new book of the famous Omsk writer Lev Trutnev tells about our contemporaries, ordinary people, described figuratively in the living Russian language with a deep knowledge of life's collisions. The book consists of three novels and four stories. In the novel “Brothers,” using the example of one family, extraordinary events are highlighted along with the psychological breakdown of ordinary people on the eve of the country’s transition to a new form of statehood. The thematic components of the novel “To Have and Not to Lose” are business, love, family relationships, social ups and downs in the early years of perestroika to the present day. The novel “Taiga Man” is dedicated to hunting, which is close in its intensity to adventure. It subtly and visibly presents taiga nature. Thematically similar to the novels are the stories that complement the book.
