The structure of the manual presents a picture of the development of philosophical schools and directions from the philosophy of the Ancient East to German classical philosophy. The following topics are considered: “Philosophy of Ancient India and China”, “Ancient Philosophy”, Medieval Philosophy”, “Philosophy of the Renaissance”, “Philosophy of the New Age”, “Philosophy of the Enlightenment”, “German Classical Philosophy”, etc. List provided test questions after each section being studied allows students to test and consolidate their knowledge on the entire range of topics of the studied section of the history of philosophy. The dictionary of terms and concepts provided at the end of the manual is aimed at developing logical thinking skills in the readers of the manual. The use of the manual in the educational process will give students the opportunity to fully correspondence courses to obtain basic knowledge of the history of philosophy, as well as decide on the topic of the test essay. The manual is intended for students of non-humanitarian universities of full-time and correspondence courses, developed in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education.
