K.A. From childhood, Kornyakov dreamed of being a long-distance sailor, although he spent his childhood and youth in the remote Arkhangelsk village of Novoshino. After graduating from a seven-year school in the village, and a secondary school in Krasnoborsk, he entered the Arkhangelsk Navigation School in the radio engineering department, after which he worked for twenty years on foreign shipping ships of the Northern Shipping Company as a radio operator, head of a ship's radio station, and 1st mate. The book is a fascinating story about a youthful dream that came true - about the fate of a sailor who visited all the major port cities of China and Vietnam, Egypt, Lebanon and Algeria, Belgium, England, Finland and Germany, Holland, Italy and Greece and other countries . This is a story about stormy everyday life and about ship crew members with whom fate brought the author together. The book is well illustrated.
