The Great Intrigue is a fascinating romance novel about a cunning and experienced diplomat-spy who in turn seduces the wife of the island governor, her cousin and a maid. All this happens against the backdrop of sea battles with pirates of the Caribbean islands and palace intrigues. As always, meanness is opposed by nobility, hatred by love, and deceit by honesty and directness. In general, this is a very interesting book that will give you a lot of pleasure and excitement.
