“The Island” (1962) is the last, most mysterious and mystical creation of Aldous Huxley, in which they found a continuation of the idea of the cult novel “Brave New World”. Conceived by the author as a dystopia, this work turned out to be much larger than the narrow framework of the utopian genre. This truly great philosophical novel is a reflection of modern society. “The Monkey and the Essence” (1948) is a fantastic dystopia, a kind of warning from the writer about an impending nuclear disaster that will wipe out almost everything from the face of the earth, and on the ruins of the former civilization the survivors will try to build a new society. “The Genius and the Goddess” (1955) is, at first glance, a rather banal story about a love triangle. But the author managed to fill this story with depth, touch on the most important questions about fate and personal choice, about the opposition of emotions to reason, about duty, honor and love.
