The main occupation of his life was music and only then - science fiction, in the themes of which music also occupies a significant place. The stories “Music Maker”, “What a Wonderful School” and, of course, the legendary “Monument” are the first things that come to the mind of the domestic reader when mention of the name Lloyd Biggle. However, in reality, this master of American science fiction is also known as the author of completely different works. Works, among which the most popular is the series about the adventures of Jan Darzek - a private detective of the future, willingly or unwillingly taking on the investigation of the most incredible cases!.. In the field of detective literature, for example, he wrote two novels about Sherlock Holmes on behalf of his assistant from Baker Street, Edward Porter Jones. According to the unanimous opinion of biased critics, his novels about Sherlock Holmes “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Fruit” and “Sherlock Holmes and the Welsh Mysteries” are extremely successful and are perceived as a genuine continuation of the notes about the great detective.
