Internal tension in the relationship between a man and a woman in the modern world, according to the author, is growing year by year. Domostroev's truths have long been rejected, the world has entered the stage of dominance of capital, which could not but affect relations between the sexes. In this regard, the author introduces a new concept of the “Sharikovsky female”, making an attempt to directly or indirectly answer such questions as: • What impact did the transition to capitalism and social differentiation in Russia have on the female sex and relations between the sexes? • How are sexual and moral relationships built? and material relations with women in modern Russian society?• Is the male world divided into winners and “losers”?• And why should the question be posed this way: a winner or a “loser”?• And, finally, why a man constantly pursues a woman is Is this, as women like to say, its natural function, and should it do so from the point of view of the modern business and domestic landscape? In other words: why do modern women, having every opportunity to succeed in any chosen job, still, when there are no longer knightly tournaments or duels, force men to compete for them, supposedly cultivating masculinity in us?! The book is written in a pragmatic and even in a somewhat attacking manner. Its target audience is men and women from 18 to 40–45 years old.
