A seaplane flies from San Francisco to help those affected by the Japanese airstrike in Pearl Harbor. There are several Americans on board, including one “illegal” passenger, and a cargo of medicines and food. Due to a sudden hurricane, the plane is forced to land far south of its intended target, near one of the Polynesian islands. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured during landing, but the navigation instruments and radio were damaged, the engines required repairs, and there was little fuel left. In addition, there is a danger of Japanese army aircraft appearing on the island. It is clear that getting off the island is no longer an easy task for six travelers.
