The Polish writer Stanislaw Przybyszewski (1868–1927) is inscribed in the annals of European modernism as a definite cult phenomenon. His success was guaranteed by high intellectualism, radical thinking, which extended even to forbidden areas, and the modernity of the anthropological concept. In Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, he was no less popular than in Poland and Germany, and had a huge influence on Russian symbolists. This publication includes selected lyrical prose, drama and articles by a popular Polish writer. The book is addressed to a wide range of readers.
