In just thirty years of his life, Robert Irwin Howard forever changed the face of not only science fiction, but popular literature in general. Heroic fantasy and historical adventures, detective stories and westerns, stories about boxers and oriental adventures, humor and even erotica - he felt equally free in all genres. But Howard's real love, according to many researchers, was supernatural stories and mysticism. It is not surprising that this very man, who stood at the origins of the genres of “Southern Gothic” and “unknown threat”, was also one of the most prominent creators of the famous “Cthulhu Mythos” by G.F. Lovecraft, with whom he had a long-term friendship.
