The book is based on the story of the Orthodox priest Ogibenin Makariy Martinovich about his visit to a schismatic monastery in the Perm province. With special flavor, the author describes the life of the Old Believers of the late 19th century. The text was prepared on the basis of the original publication, published in St. Petersburg in 1902. The book also includes a biographical essay “I fulfilled my oath to God...”, written by the author’s granddaughter Tatyana Ogibenina. Photographs from the Ogibenin family archive were used as illustrations. Addressed to local historians, researchers of the history and life of the Old Believers, and to everyone who is interested in the history of the mining Urals.
