The book “The name of this friendship is poetic brotherhood” is dedicated to two outstanding Russian poets Marina Tsvetaeva and Pavel Antokolsky. It presents the story of their acquaintance, their meetings in Borisoglebsky Lane, where Marina Tsvetaeva lived, and in the theater studio of E. Vakhtangov, where Pavel Antokolsky worked as an actor and playwright, their creative relationship, which spiritually enriched both poets for many years, and their disagreements , which occurred due to Tsvetaeva’s departure from Russia in 1922. This is also a story about how, already in his declining years, having become famous and recognized, the poet Antokolsky fought for the right of the disgraced poet Tsvetaeva to enter Russian literature. The book is illustrated with autographs of P. Antokolsky’s early poems and fragments of M. Tsvetaeva’s rare book “After Russia,” published in Paris in 1928, as well as works by artists K. Kolman and I.E. Repin. The book will be useful to literary scholars, specialists in Russian poetry and anyone interested in the history of Russian culture.
