Twenty-five years ago, David Lynch and Mark Frost drove the whole world crazy with the cult series Twin Peaks, which once and for all changed the public's attitude towards serial culture. Together with FBI agent Dale Cooper, viewers tried to solve the mystery: “Who killed Laura Palmer?” - and clearly understood: “Owls are not what they seem.” In the finale of the second season, cut off mid-sentence, Laura Palmer promised Cooper that they would meet in twenty-five years. And now, a quarter of a century later, the legendary project is being resumed: the same Mark Frost wrote the script for the third season of Twin Peaks, the same David Lynch took up filming. A series in which we will see both the actors of the first two seasons (Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, David Patrick Kelly, Sherilyn Fenn, David Duchovny) and new faces (Monica Bellucci, Tim Roth, Naomi Watts, Jim Belushi, Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Judd), will be released on television in May 2017. And to whet the appetite of the audience, in the fall of 2016, Mark Frost released the book “The Secret History of Twin Peaks”, written in the unique genre of “datafiction”... For those for whom “The Secret History” was not enough, we suggest returning to the “classic” Twin Peaks and look at Laura Palmer's diary, found by Agent Cooper. The audience only knew its contents fragmentarily, and their curiosity was satisfied by Jennifer Lynch, a famous director and screenwriter, the daughter of David Lynch. It is in this book that Laura Palmer's relationship with the mysterious infernal entity known as Bob is shown in its entirety and in development... The translation is published in a new edition. The book also contains new forewords written by Lynch and Frost more than twenty years after the release of the legendary series.
