Sir Henry's rest on his estate was unceremoniously interrupted by Inspector Masters, who decided to involve the great Old Man in the case of the Brace family. The precious cup, kept in a locked room, guarded by Lord Brace, might well have been stolen, for the thief was certainly present in the room. However, the cup was not stolen. NOTHING was stolen.
