For many hundreds of years, the East and the West developed separately, having vague ideas about each other. A fateful meeting took place in 128 BC: the envoy of the Chinese Emperor Zhang Qian, who was looking for allies of the Han Empire in the West, was brought together by fate with the Sarmatian warrior Zaryana, who, in fulfillment of the will of Rome, was looking for a country where they possessed the secret of silk production. Through betrayal and captivity, battles with cruel nomads and prehistoric monsters, desperate brave men managed to lay down a route that united East and West. It was called the “Great Silk Road” and lasted for almost two thousand years. There are only meager historical facts about this era. All the more valuable is the fascinating ancient world that the authors managed to create in the novel. It is not surprising that this story has already formed the basis of a future multi-part feature film. And this is just the beginning. It seems quite logical if in a few years the Great Silk Road will be revived in reality - after all, the time has long come for the unification of the countries and peoples of the Eurasian continent.
