We present to the reader's attention a book about the life and activities of one of the many “military mechanics” Boris Fedorovich Shcherbakov, at a time when he was a student, teacher, secretary of the party committee, and dean of the mechanical faculty. In all of these guises, there were peculiarities of relationships with their comrades and colleagues, but the main task - the formation of highly qualified specialists - remained unchanged. In the final chapter VI, an attempt was made to show the heroic work, the outstanding contribution of some university graduates to strengthening the defense capability of our country.
