A.V. Yablokov’s book “Atomic Mythology. Notes of an Ecologist on the Nuclear Industry”, published by the Nauka publishing house, received deservedly high praise among scientists around the world. In it, the author argues and convincingly refutes many myths created by defenders of nuclear energy, including those about the safety of nuclear reactors, their environmental cleanliness, and so on. Considering that the book “Atomic Mythology” is difficult for residents of our region to obtain - it was published in a small print run - we decided to publish (with some abbreviations) one of its chapters dedicated to debunking the myth about the safety of low doses of radiation.
