The book was the fruit of many years of observation, reading and comprehension of the feat of the holy fathers and the own life experience of its author - the rector of the Nikolo-Babaevsky monastery of the Yaroslavl diocese, where Saint Ignatius (Brianchaninov) spent the last years of his life. Father Boris was born during the years of Soviet power, gained faith at a conscious age and went from a simple layman to an abbot.
