The book contains three stories that unite the relationship between citizens and the law enforcement system. The first story is "Central Committee Worker". Once upon a time there lived a Central Committee worker next door to the author of this story. An ordinary person: he worked on grandiose construction sites, then sold roofs from his own house, stole a little, drank a lot, and that’s how it all ended... The second story, “A False Conclusion,” about murder by negligence, touches on the eternal question: is it possible to break the law for the sake of justice. The third story, “Thirty Chickens,” is a story about the relationship between the new owners and the indigenous villagers. Oh, how difficult and cruel it is for entrepreneurs to beat “soviet” habits out of villagers.
