Franklin Roosevelt - the 32nd President of the United States of America, a central figure in the world in the mid-20th century - led the United States during the global economic crisis and World War II. F. Roosevelt's most famous book contains the texts of his speeches on American radio ( “fireside chats”) during the presidential years. This period of US history is characterized by a severe, protracted crisis, which was called the “Great Depression,” and a way out of it thanks to new methods and bold actions of the president. Many conversations are devoted to the Second World War, the birth of the anti-Hitler coalition against fascism; the president has repeatedly spoken about the courage and perseverance of the Russian soldier.
