The writing talent and civic courage of Alexander Kazbegi were especially clearly manifested in his creative activity in the 80s of the 19th century. His novels and stories convey the inner world of the characters, their feelings and experiences with great artistic power. All of Kazbegi’s works were written in the period from 1880 to 1886. Kazbegi exposed the lawlessness of tsarist officials and feudal lords, created images of noble and courageous peasants. Love and pride are clearly depicted in “Eleanor.” The electronic version of the work is published based on the 1955 edition.
