Laurent Graff (born 1968) is an archivist by profession, a writer by vocation, the author of six novels (Johnny Depp recently took on the film adaptation of one of them). “One of Us” and “Voyage, Voyage” are original in form and novels with universal content and strikingly recognizable characters. In the first, the author depicts the everyday life of an average Frenchman named Jean. The measured course of the hero’s life is revealed through the prism of the drinks he consumes from morning to evening and on special occasions, and is generously flavored with the author’s apt and caustic observations.
