In the book of the aspiring writer, the reader is offered two sparkling comedies in verse: “A Thousand Misfortunes, or Retribution for Sins” and “Quarantine.” The plots, accurately noted and skillfully played out by the author in the spirit of the classic comedy genre, are inspired by life itself. One of the plays presents a modern and successful rector of one of the many Russian churches, unsuccessfully struggling with the vicissitudes thrown up by fate in his life, in the other - “a portrait of the Russian people in all its glory,” squeezed into the Procrustean bed of the self-isolation regime. A broth of irony, seasoned with piquant notes of sarcasm, was carefully prepared by the author for anyone who loves to laugh in their spare time.
