Sekisov A. God of Anxiety: a novel / Anton Sekisov. - St. Petersburg: Limbus Press, K. Tublin Publishing House LLC, 2021. - 272 pp.
Akaky Akakievich Bashmachkin, having moved from St. Petersburg to Moscow, is able to gain unimaginable power and all the gold in the world. Bashmachkin, who moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg, can only merge with the landscape, adding dust to the dusty city with his own ashes. Such is the hero of the novel by Anton Sekisov - a young Moscow writer who moved to the banks of the Neva in the hope of filling his existence with meaning. He tries to improve his life and understands the St. Petersburg way of life - he drinks a lot, meets with local cult figures (quite real) and talks with them about abstract matters. But one day he discovers on his Wikipedia page the date of not only his birth, but also his death. Having rummaged through the Internet, the hero also finds a photograph of his grave. Not finding meaning here, he finds a goal: to find a mysterious grave in one of the thirteen historical St. Petersburg necropolises.
