The trilogy “Faces of Saints from Jesus to Us” by the Russian writer and philosopher D.S. Merezhkovsky (1865 – 1941) includes the books “Paul. Augustine" (1936), "Francis of Assisi" (1938) and "Joan of Arc" (1938), which are actually a continuation of his "Jesus the Unknown". In the new trilogy, the author again turned to his main theme, combining the centuries-old mystery of Christianity and modernity in one religious and philosophical work.
