On a snowy October morning, Kira finds herself the only living soul in the middle of a city frozen in time. Now one minute of human life is equal to ten earthly years, and Kira faces one of two things: to break under the influence of circumstances or, using a dial, to seal the craters open in different parts of the Earth. In this she is helped by Agray, a selfish guest from the planet Iklil, and his peace-loving brother Cleon. Everything is complicated by kumo - spider demons who see frozen people as an inexhaustible source of food, and essiorls - creatures of metal whose goal is unlimited power over time. Kira will have to change her opinion about Agray more than once until she understands: their meeting is not accidental.
