(including for Apple and Android)
The theological and literary heritage of Leontius of Byzantium, the famous theologian and polemicist of the 6th century, still remains insufficiently studied in Russia, while in the West in the 19th–20th centuries. Dozens of studies have been devoted to it. The modern Russian reader knows, perhaps, only brief mentions of Leontius in the works of Archpriest Georgy Florovsky and Protopresbyter John Meyendorff. There is still no complete Russian translation of a single treatise by Leontius of Byzantium... Without pretending to be complete and final, the collection of studies now proposed is intended to give the modern Russian reader the necessary information about the composition of the “Leontius Corpus” (Corpus Leontianum), its alleged authorship, structure and the content of the theological works included in it.***Editorial Council of the Center for Biblical and Patriarchal Research (support program for young scientists of the VPMD) of the Department for Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church: Priest Sergius Shastin (rector of the Krutitsky Patriarchal Compound, Chairman of the All-Russian Orthodox Youth Movement and the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders )Deacon Mikhail Pershin (director of the center, head of the information and publishing sector of the Department for Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church) Priest Sergius Osipov (technical editor)Prof. D.
