The end of the 20s and 30s of the 20th century passed for the USSR under the sign of confrontation with militaristic Japan. Despite the fact that this confrontation had the character of a “hot peace,” several times it came to serious armed conflicts, which almost resulted in a full-scale war. To protect the eastern border of the country, the Separate Red Banner Far Eastern Army (OKDVA) was created, which defeated the Japanese at Lake Khasan and near the Khalkhin Gol River and was able to prevent Japanese aggression against the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War. This book is dedicated to the history of OKDVA.
