The third, expanded, edition of the textbook (the previous ones were published in 2003, 2007) is devoted to the analysis and modern interpretation of various areas of psychotherapy. The palette of modern psychotherapeutic knowledge is widely presented, but at the same time the author’s concept of psychotherapy is outlined, inviting the reader to dialogue, the ultimate goal of which is the creation of a domestic psychotherapeutic culture. As is known, the main problems arise when analyzing the ideological and personal layers of psychotherapeutic assistance. There are many discrepancies here, determined both by the dual, existential-essential nature of man, and by the sensitivity of the psychotherapist to certain levels of human existence. Psychotherapy is interpreted not as a technology of influence, but as an ideology of joint experience (living) of a life crisis. Psychological models are revealed that reflect different versions of such an experience. The client (patient) is presented as an active participant in the psychotherapeutic process. The textbook is intended for undergraduate and graduate students studying in the specialty "Psychology" and is of interest to doctors and practicing psychotherapists.
