In the family of the author, the wife of an Anglican Church priest, a daughter was born with Down syndrome. To withstand the test with dignity, to change themselves, to give their daughter an education - Lizzie’s parents had to deal with these and many other problems. On their way they encountered many difficulties, but their faith in God and hope for His help provided them with constant support. The author discusses his experience of interacting with the church community, parent associations, educational and medical institutions.
