The book describes the basic principles and methods of group art therapy work with children of preschool and primary school age, and also presents in detail the “Color World” program, developed for children who need help from a psychologist. Program participants are not taught to draw - the point of psychological art therapy work is that children get the opportunity to express themselves and can do things that are strictly prohibited to them in ordinary life. As a result, interest in destructive actions is satisfied, negative emotions spill out, psychological energy is released, which is usually spent on ineffective tension, and children become calmer and more relaxed. Demonstrativeness, negativity, aggression give way to initiative and creativity. The book is addressed to child psychologists and psychotherapists, as well as parents who are ready to take a creative approach to raising their children.
