This edition contains the memoirs of Alexander Aronovich (Sasha, Sashko) Pechersky - an officer of the Red Army, the leader of the only successful uprising in the world history in the German death camp (Sobibor).

The book also includes a poem by M. I. Geilikman “Luka”, which launched an international project to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of this uprising, and the public’s appeal to Russian President V.V. Putin with a request for assistance in memorialization - rewarding participants, ensuring state status for events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of their feat , and inclusion of the necessary information in the school curriculum.
