The book brought to your attention is dedicated to the most pressing problem of our time - the rapid growth of spiritual diseases among people. Its author, Hieromonk Panteleimon (Ledin), has considerable experience in exorcism or, as is most often said, reprimand - the expulsion of evil spirits from people, or those possessed. The attitude in our Church to the practice of reprimand is, as is known, not unambiguous. Some believe that exorcism is the preserve of the chosen few, requiring a special gift. Others - including Fr. Panteleimon, who himself, of course, has an amazing ability to recognize spiritual damage in people, hold the exact opposite view.
