“More than a year ago, in my book “The Medieval Empire of the Jews,” which I called a historical investigation, together with historians of the past and present, we tried to consider one funny question. If in the past there was a single worldwide Empire, as modern researchers of history tell us, then who carried out economic functions within its borders.
