“Heavy Soul” is the first published memoir of Vladimir Ananyevich Zlobin (1894–1967), poet, prose writer, publicist of the Russian diaspora, and since 1916 literary secretary of D.S. Merezhkovsky and Z.N. Gippius, and after 1945 - keeper of their family archive. The collection includes articles, sketches, essays from the emigrant “Literary Diary”, published in the Parisian magazine “Renaissance”, a book of memoirs “Heavy Soul” about Z.N. Gippius and her environment, a rare collection “After Her Death”, dedicated to the memory of Gippius, and poems from different years.
