Thomas Glavinich (b. 1972) is a contemporary Austrian writer, chess player, and former miner, taxi driver and copywriter. The Video Camera Killer (2001, film adaptation 2004) is a peculiar one. “crime novel” about the monstrous crime that shocked Austria (the murder of children) and about ordinary Austrians - shocked television viewers and radio listeners, whose life for several days became much more exciting and eventful than their daily “real” life.
