Children's books usually tell stories about cute bears, funny bunnies and nimble mice. In the new children's collection by Andrus Kivirähk “Spring and Poop” there are no such glorious animals. Instead, the reader will meet the romantic Turd, the tanned Sausage, the Creepy Bubblegum, the Daddy Socks that are hatching an egg, the Bad Jacket and the Pirate Spoon, as well as a host of other strange creatures that were previously barred from appearing in children's books. Finally they made their way onto its pages! All these stories were once published in the children's magazine "Täheke", they met with the approval of young readers and indignant reviews of disgruntled aunties. The illustrations for the book were drawn by Heiki Ernitz, and as is often the case with his pictures, there is a risk of being left looking at them.
