The second book in the `Canons` series contains translations of treatises from the 3rd century. (Liu Shao) and XI century. (Li Gou). For the modern reader, they are interesting because, created within the framework of the Chinese tradition as a continuation of the canons of the ancients (in content and structural terms), they captured the holistic perception of life that has been lost by modern civilization. Both authors, relying on the living wisdom of their ancient predecessors, affirmed the high destiny of man, born to serve Nature in achieving her goal - the continuation of the creation of life, and, in relation to their time, put forward projects for the transformation of society. Considering the canons as a spiritual mirror that passed on to their descendants the precepts of the completely wise, Liu Shao and Li Gou (identifying the painful problems of their era) also made their contribution to the universal human treasury, giving their vision of the problem of man and the arrangement of his home - cosmic and sacred. Chinese treatises unexpectedly have a direct bearing on us, living in another time and in another country. This is due to the demand among contemporaries for the wisdom of traditional Chinese culture: only a harmonious person is able to cultivate life itself, and the success of politics is ensured only by the improvement of man. The book is intended for scientists, students and teachers of humanities and specialized universities, politicians, leaders of various ranks, the military, and also readers interested in the culture of the East.
