The book contains articles by one of the most famous hierarchs of the Greek Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus (Medzelopoulos), written by him in 2018–2020 in response to events in the church life of Ukraine. These years marked the beginning of a severe crisis in inter-Orthodox relations, the cause of which was the invasion of the Patriarchate of Constantinople into the church life of Ukraine. The apogee of this illegal interference was the uncanonical granting of the “tomos of autocephaly” by Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople to a group of Ukrainian schismatics on January 6, 2019.
