An ordinary person from our world, endowed with some leadership qualities, could easily pass for a messiah in a parallel world. “The Dark World” by Kuttner and Moore is an attempt to explain “classic fantasy” magic with modern science, an interesting combination of two people in one and a struggle with oneself. Henry Kuttner (1915–1958) is a famous American science fiction writer, one of the most prominent names of 40 -50s - the beginning of the “golden age” of US science fiction literature. During his short (about twenty years) writing career, Kuttner established himself as a master of various areas of SF. His works had a significant influence on the subsequent development of this genre in America.
