The captain of the Soviet army, after an attack behind enemy lines in Austria, discovered boxes of jewelry in one of the adits. Fulfilling the strict order of his boss to convey information about the jewelry personally to General Pakhomov, he falls into the hands of the vile and greedy dogs of the special department, who had their own plans for the found treasures. Realizing his deplorable situation, after prolonged torture, the captain, in an attempt to escape from the special department, falls off a cliff with injuries and falls into a raging river. Miraculously, unconscious and in critical condition, he falls into the hands of local surgeon Dr. Karl von Staube. Dr. Staube, out of a thirst for revenge in the hope of killing a Soviet soldier, wanted to inject him with a deadly poison, but he finds on the soldier’s body a scar with a signature suture, which could only have been left by his surgeon son, who he believed died in the war. The news of his son's fate could change the doctor's entire future life. However, only this soldier could answer this question if he survives...
