Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky (1894–1968) is known as one of the largest commanders of the Second World War, the creators of the Great Victory of the Soviet people over fascism. With all the interest in his personality, many questions remain unclear in existing biographies: the exact date of birth of Rokossovsky, his participation in the Civil War, the circumstances of his arrest and imprisonment, difficult relations with another “Marshal of Victory” - Georgy Zhukov. His activities as Minister of Defense of Poland and the last years of his life have hardly been studied. All these topics are explored in detail in the most complete biography of Rokossovsky to date, created by the famous historian Boris Sokolov. This book, which does not avoid the “sharp corners” of the biography of the famous military leader, is intended for everyone who is interested in the great and tragic history of Russia of the 20th century.
