The new book by the famous prose writer Roman Senchin contains three stories - one of them, the most vivid and lyrical, written on behalf of the author’s eldest daughter, hot on the heels of the events on Bolotnaya Square. In the heroes of this story, a curious reader will easily recognize the oppositionist Sergei Udaltsov, the scandalous publicist Sergei Shargunov, and will look behind the scenes of Senchin’s daily life - into his computer and even his refrigerator. The heroes of the other two stories are men diametrically opposed in spirit: a resident of a resort town without a profession, overwhelmed Pechorin's melancholy and entropy, and the Orenburg pilot, full of Gaidar's heroism. In this triptych, Senchin captures the immediate reality, without embellishing or hushing up anything. He tries to convey the very breath of life - for some it is resurrecting, for others it is deadening. And thus creates the image of today in its entirety.
