“Constellation Erectus” is, in a sense, a continuation of the mini-novel - transutopia “Deportation”. Part of the plot develops in the same region (and the same country), and some characters from the previous series act. A number of geographical objects and coordinates coincide (by chance, of course) with those that you can see on a geographical map, but some are missing on a modern map. So, you will not find on your map the territory of the Confederation of Meganesia (in the Pacific region between the Philippines, Hawaii, New Zealand and the Antarctic Land of Mary Byrd). The reference book on recent history makes no mention of the Aluminum Revolution or the Meganesian Magna Carta. The ethnographic reference book omits the Utafoa people (although in Polynesian phrase books you will find many words similar to words from their language). Many utafoa customs are practically no different from the well-known Polynesian or Melanesian ones (from where they, in general, were taken).
