A book from 2019, in which two scientists (a professor of physics and a professor of astronomy) invite the reader to take an imaginary journey through exoplanets of various types in search of life on them. Planets of various types are characterized - completely frozen, water, with increased gravity, tidal lock, etc. For each type of exoplanet, the possibility of the emergence of life, the most likely places of its origin and the path of its evolution are analyzed. The authors also touch upon the problem of life in general, the laws of nature that are responsible for the formation of planets and their environment. Separate chapters of the book are devoted to the analysis of the possibility of the emergence of “non-standard” types of life - based on other elements (not carbon), inorganic and artificial life. The book is intended for a wide range of readers.
