Vasily III Ivanovich, the son of Ivan III the Great and Sophia Paleologus, is of interest to many. But especially – three points of his biography. Firstly, he annexed Ryazan to the Moscow Principality and returned the Seversk land, taking it away from Lithuania. Secondly, he was the father of one of the most controversial figures in Russian history - Ivan the Terrible.
