Beneath the guise of obedient citizens lies a nation of strong personalities. And they prove their right to individuality not by flashy outfits and scandalous behavior, but by the fact that they devote themselves with all the ardor to the hobby that has captured them. The Belgians are passionate collectors. Look in the back corner of the garage or the wardrobe in the bedroom and you will see carefully stored collections of matchboxes, postage stamps, toy soldiers and antique typewriters.
