On the eve of the centenary of the Great Russian Revolution, we are again and again trying to comprehend the historical experience of the twentieth century and what it brought to our Motherland. Twice in a century we voluntarily destroyed our thousand-year-old state and then restored it with enormous efforts and sacrifices. Why were millions of deaths, blood, hunger and destruction necessary? Who is guilty? What are the reasons for the mass insanity of citizens and the powerlessness of the authorities? And most importantly, can now, a hundred years later, that “perfect storm” repeat itself and will the technology of state destruction work again, capable of throwing our country back decades and changing the entire history of the civilized world? The authors of the book give a detailed answer to this question, proving that any revolution, like a contagious disease, leads, if not to the death of the “infected” state, then to its weakening and loss of political and economic positions, territories, level of development and is inevitably accompanied by terrible and irreparable human sacrifices. This book is a warning to all of us, citizens of Russia, and above all to those who are again going - sincerely mistaken, or earning foreign money - to “destroy everything to the ground...” for the third time in a hundred years of Russian history. Our country may not survive the new “perfect storm” - this is exactly what Russia’s enemies want. When working on the book, unique archival materials, scientific works of famous authors, as well as memoirs of eyewitnesses were used.
